Rohan has a passion for cars & technology, and has spent the past 15+ years in the energy sector, working across energy retail (Engie & AGL), and energy distribution (Jemena). One of the highlights was managing the first energy retail plan for electric vehicles at AGL in 2017, known as the "$1 a day" Electric Car Plan, which was a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to test unlimited home charging usage. At Jemena, he led an ARENA funded smart charging trial (EV Grid), which centred around shifting home EV charging to lower energy demand periods (solar/off-peak). More recently, Rohan was at RACV leading their home and commercial EV charging solutions, and is now Head of Partner Success at Chargefox where he works closely with the auto clubs (NRMA, RACV, RAA, RAC) and hardware/integration partners (like JET Charge and RACV Solar). Rohan and his wife Michelle have electrified their family home back in 2017 with rooftop solar, a Tesla Powerwall 2, heat pump hot water, and bought their first EV in 2018 (a BMW i3). Last year, Rohan got rid of his remaining ICE vehicle (a diesel SUV) and now has a Tesla Model 3 Performance, which drives itself most of the time (via FSD).
