Gill Goldsmith

Director, Net Zero Industry Innovation Program, NSW Government

Gill is a Director of the Net Zero Industry Innovation Program, part of the NSW Office of Energy & Climate Change (OECC). At OECC, Gill leads a AUD$360m fund focused on accelerating decarbonisation of our highest emitting industries, industrial regions and supply chains. Her team is current establishing detailed roadmaps to transition the industrial sectors in the Hunter & Illawarra to net zero by 2050. Gill is particularly passionate about bridging the gap between industry, community, government, and technology to drive a swift and orderly transition to a low carbon economy.

Prior to joining government, Gill held operations and commercial roles across the energy, infrastructure and mobility sectors, including with BP, Worley Parsons and startups 5B and Evie. Gill has an MBA from London Business School, and Bachelor in Urban Planning from UNSW and is a recent Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
