James Hazelton is a renewable energy engineer and industry leader who has worked across the private sector, academia, international development, and electricity networks for almost 20 years. 

He is the Future Grid Strategy Manager at Endeavour Energy, the distribution network operator for Western Sydney, the Blue Mountains, and the South Coast of NSW, serving 2.8 million people and supporting more than 335,000 rooftop solar systems.

He previously worked as a Senior Consultant and Program Manager at ITP Renewables, where he delivered a range of Australian and international energy sector projects, including the development of solar microgrids in Kiribati. Prior to ITP, he established and led Infigen Energy's Operations Control Centre, where he managed wind farm operations and developed a deep understanding of Australia's National Electricity Market. 

James's doctoral research focused on renewable energy microgrid systems for rural electrification in Australia and Malaysia.
