Bjorn Siem
Bjorn brings nearly two decades of fleet, energy and EV experience to making electric vehicles more affordable and easier to own in Australia.
He first drove an EV in 2010 and was part of the Queensland Government team developing Queensland's first Zero Emission Vehicle Strategy, transitioned 2,400 QFleet vehicles to EVs and shaped the state's EV and charging policies.
He leads the EVC's work on light vehicle policy and engagement, including the FBT exemption for EVs, the New Vehicle Efficiency Standard and fights for fair and equitable road user charges and equitable access to EVs and charging.
His Norwegian background gives him a direct line into the world's most advanced EV market, and he draws on a global network to source the best international evidence for Australia.
Away from policy, Bjorn is a vegan father of four, a trail runner and a committed road tripper in the family's two EVs.
