Samantha Johnson is the Chief Executive Officer of the Electric Vehicle Council (EVC). Samantha is working with the EVC team, members and stakeholders to progress the electrification and lowering of emissions in transport. Prior to the EVC, Samantha was the Head of Polestar Australia and has overseen the brand's entry into the Australian market and its successful growth since 2021. Prior to her appointment at Polestar, Samantha was Director ' Business Control, Financial Services & Digital Transformation at Volvo Car Australia, and has held numerous positions both in Australia and abroad including almost 10 years as Director of Finance & Retail Operations at Harley Davidson. Samantha is married with two daughters and is an avid fan of outdoor sports including kiteboarding, snowboarding and yacht racing.
