John has spent over 19 years in the insurance industry in various roles across partnership management, claims services and sustainability. John is the Operations Manager for the Electrify 2515 Community Pilot which is an ARENA funded research program located in the Northern Illawarra. This innovative research project will empower 500 homes in a concentrated part of the local grid, to upgrade from gas to efficient, electric appliances and home batteries. By studying the installation journey closely, and gathering energy data and feedback, the pilot will provide critical research to accelerate Australia's transition to a smart, electric future. The insights gained will be crucial in shaping policies and practices for a smart and efficient energy system nationwide.
