David is an experienced leader and executive with more than 25 years of experience in the wholesale and retail Australasian automotive sector.

BYD has enjoyed significant success under David’s management with vehicle sales up 65% in 2024 with 20,458 sales making BYD one of the fastest growing new brands in Australian automotive history.

2025 will be another huge growth year for BYD with the 2024 car of the year BYD Shark 6 being delivered from Q1 and a host of new models to be launched and a doubling of the national dealer network to ensure Australians can purchase and get their BYD serviced.

Prior to joining EVDirect David has had a vast industry experience with many brands including RAM, Jeep, Ferrari, Kia in both Australia and New Zealand.

David has an MBA from Sydney Business School, CPA and Commerce Degree and is a passionate Beekeeper.
