The Maritime Emissions Reduction Coalition (MERC) is an innovation cluster dedicated to accelerating the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from the Australian maritime industry. It achieves this by uniting leading organisations in the maritime, manufacturing, energy, finance, government, and education sectors to bring coordination, focus, and innovation to maritime decarbonisation projects and products, delivering a greener, more sustainable future for our waterways and oceans. Electrification is a key pathway for maritime decarbonisation and one that many MERC participants are dedicated to advancing.
